Terms of use

The short version: we're a guide, not a clinician. Please read the important parts.

Who this is between.

These terms are a contract between you (the user) and Seen Pty Ltd (us).

Acceptance.

By using this website or the walk-through, you accept these terms in full. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What this service is (and isn't).

Medical disclaimer.

Seen is an educational service only. The walk-through is not a diagnostic tool. The information provided is general guidance based on parent-reported observations, not medical advice. Decisions about your child's health and development must be made with a qualified healthcare provider.

If you're in crisis right now:

  • Emergency: Call 000
  • Kids Helpline (5–25): 1800 55 1800 (24/7, free, confidential)
  • Lifeline (all ages): 13 11 14 (24/7, free, confidential)

Age and eligibility.

You must be 18 years or older to use this service. You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child being discussed, or acting on behalf of a parent or guardian with their written consent.

Your account.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. You agree to provide accurate information. An account is for one person only and should not be shared with others. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

Acceptable use.

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to diagnose other people's children using this service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the site.
  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use the walk-through output to provide clinical advice to third parties.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the underlying code or algorithms.

Intellectual property.

All content on this site — text, design, assessments, questions, results explanations — is copyright Seen Pty Ltd. You may print or download your own walk-through overview for your own use with your own child. You may not republish, re-sell, or reuse any content without written permission.

Third-party links.

We link to external resources (Headspace, Services Australia, Raising Children Network, etc.). We're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those sites. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Limitation of liability.

To the extent permitted by law: Seen is not liable for any decisions you make based on the walk-through. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of income, business, or reputation) arising from your use of this service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us (which for most users is zero).

We carry professional-indemnity insurance and cyber insurance, but neither guarantee outcomes, and we cannot promise perfect safety or accuracy in all circumstances.

Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the guarantees, rights, or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). If you are a consumer, you have rights under that law that cannot be taken away by these terms.

Termination.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the service inappropriately. If we do, we'll try to give you notice unless the breach is serious.

Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms at any time. If the change is material, we'll publish it here with a new date and notify account holders. Your continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Victoria.
